28th May 2011, was indeed a terrific Thursday for 170 engineering students from Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

For the first time in their life, they conquered a world-class Formula One track with one lap, by bus!
All of the students, together with a team of lecturers from Institut Sultan Iskandar from Johor Bharu were caught by surprise when SIC Track Operation permitted them with one lap experience on the bus which allowed them to capture all 15 turns and scenic views of the track’s perimeter.

It was a value-added visit for them as well due to the question and answer opportunity with Mr. Jude Quah, representative from Facilities Management, which revolves around their field of studies.

Many raise queries with regards to the technical aspects of the circuit, availability and condition of the facilities during a debrief session at the Media Centre.

Despite being on the track by bus, the students were overjoyed to be granted once in a lifetime opportunity to set foot on the starting grid!
