Rain Storm End MotoGP Testing In Sepang
08 February 2010
World champion Valentino Rossi was the last of the riders on track, at 1.15pm, while Gresini Honda's Marco Simoncelli walked away from a fast accident shortly afterwards.
Due to the morning rain, Friday testing was due to finish one hour later than planned - at 6pm - but heavy rain returned at 5pm and so the test is now over.
Following a wet start, circuit conditions steadily improved and the track was effectively dry by around 1pm.
Under new rules, the first day of testing (Wednesday) was for test riders only.
Friday marked only the second day of 2010 action for the MotoGP race riders, many of whom were using their new bikes for the first time this week.
This week's outing was the first of three pre-season tests to be held before the start of the new racing season, which begins at Qatar on April 11.
The next test is also at Sepang, from February 24-26.
