Pedrosa injured after Sepang crash

Dani Pedrosa could be forced to miss the remainder of this week's MotoGP test at Sepang in Malaysia after injuring himself in an accident on Tuesday.

Initial reports suggest that the Repsol Honda rider lost control of his bike at Turn 11, the uphill right hander.

The bike slid into the gravel and eyewitness reports suggest that as he walked away from the machine it exploded. The subsequent fire damage appears to have put the bike beyond repair.

Worse for Pedrosa, though, was that he hurt himself in the crash. He was taken to a nearby hospital for X-ray scans and sources suggest that they have found a hairline fracture in his arm.

This has not yet been officially confirmed by the team, however. Pedrosa has been able to return to the circuit.

Pedrosa's crash came on a day when several riders hit trouble, including Fiat Yamaha duo Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo - both of whom escaped serious injury with their spills.
